# Copilot and AI

Explore Microsoft Copilot, AI agents, and Bevica Assistant for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

Microsoft Copilot and AI agents bring AI-assisted working directly into Dynamics 365 Business Central and Bevica.

Three complementary types of AI experience are available within Bevica:

* **Copilot** works with you. You start an action and Copilot provides suggestions, analysis, or assistance.
* **Agents** can carry out defined processes with less direct input, while keeping their work transparent and reviewable.
* **Bevica Assistant** brings Copilot-style help directly from Bevica. It answers questions on how Bevica works, its features and functionality, and how to complete common processes.

### Before you start

Copilot capabilities are available in Business Central online. Individual capabilities can have additional requirements.

Before you enable or use a capability:

* Confirm that it’s available for your tenant and Business Central version
* Confirm whether it’s generally available or in preview
* Check the required permissions, licence, and administrator configuration
* Confirm that its use meets your organisation's data and AI governance policies

Availability can vary by Business Central version, country or region, language, licence, permissions, and environment configuration. Some capabilities may be in preview.

### Microsoft guidance

AI capabilities evolve quickly. New features arrive in each release wave. Use the Microsoft guidance below for the latest features and availability.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://kb.bevica.com/copilot-ai/copilot-and-ai.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
