Production Tracking
Under UK Alcohol Duty rules, duty on Small Producer Relief (SPR) beer and other alcoholic drinks must be calculated using the rate that applied when the product was produced, not the rate in effect when it was dispatched.
Production Tracking in Bevica stores the item's production date which is then used when calculating duty amounts.
Item Card
On the Item Card, under the Duty tab, there is a Track Production Date field.

When switched on, Bevica will track the production date from inventory created from an Assembly Order or Item Journals. The Production Tracked toggle is shown on the Assembly Order Header and the Item Journal Line, enabling visibility at the time of posting the entry.
When duty is transferred on a Production Tracked item, either via a Sales Shipment or an Item Reclassification Journal, Bevica will use the production date from the Item Ledger Entry to calculate the applicable duty rate.
The Production Date field is shown on Item Ledger Entries, Duty Ledger Entries and HMRC Ledger Entries and can be used as a reference point for which duty rate will be selected on Duty Transfer.
