# FAQ - Training Questions

Common “where do I find…?” questions, with the best training page to answer them.

### Training questions and where to resolve them

Use this page when you’re stuck mid-task. Each question points to the best place to resolve it.

### Getting started

* **What should I complete first?**\
  Follow the session order so you don’t miss prerequisites and core concepts. Use [Training Agenda Overview](/bevica-select/bevica_select_training.md), then complete [Introduction to Business Central](/bevica-select/bevica_select_training/bevica_select_training_-_introduction_to_business_central.md), and keep [FAQ - User Interface](/bevica-select/faqs/faq-user-interface.md) bookmarked for day-to-day UI help.
* **Where do I see the full learning path and session order?**\
  The agenda is your single source of truth for session sequence, prerequisites, and what to do next. Use [Training Agenda Overview](/bevica-select/bevica_select_training.md).
* **How do I know what “good” looks like after a module?**\
  Outcomes pages list the tasks you should be able to complete in Bevica after training. Start at [Bevica Select Outcomes](/bevica-select/bevica-select-outcomes.md) and open the outcome page for your module.

### Finance (GL, journals, VAT, cash)

* **Where do I get a high-level finance overview before the detail?**\
  Use this to understand the finance areas and terminology before you dive into detailed modules. Read [Finance Overview](/bevica-select/bevica_select_training/bevica_select_finance_overview.md).
* **Where do I learn chart of accounts, dimensions, and core posting concepts?**\
  This is the foundation for how data is structured and posted in Bevica Select. Use [General Ledger Part 1](/bevica-select/bevica_select_training/bevica_select_training_-_general_ledger_part_1.md) and self-check with [Outcomes - General Ledger Part 1](/bevica-select/bevica-select-outcomes/bevica_select_training_outcomes_-_general_ledger_part_1.md).
* **I’m posting a journal. How do I preview the result before posting?**\
  Preview Posting catches errors and shows what entries will be created before you commit anything. Follow the steps in [FAQ - General Journals](/bevica-select/faqs/bevica_select_-_faq_-_general_journals.md).
* **I posted a journal with the wrong date, description, or dimension. What can I do?**\
  Posted transactions have strict rules on what can and can’t be edited, so fix it the supported way. Use [FAQ - General Journals](/bevica-select/faqs/bevica_select_-_faq_-_general_journals.md) for reversal/correction options and what you *can’t* change.
* **Where do I learn customers, credit control, and customer payments?**\
  Start with the end-to-end process training, then use the FAQ for edge cases and fixes. Use [Sales Ledger](/bevica-select/bevica_select_training/bevica_select_training_-_sales_ledger.md), check [FAQ - Sales Ledger](/bevica-select/faqs/bevica_select_faq_-_sales_ledger.md) for common issues, then validate with [Outcomes - Sales Ledger](/bevica-select/bevica-select-outcomes/bevica_select_training_outcomes_-_sales_ledger.md).
* **Where do I learn vendor invoices, payments, and managing vendor accounts?**\
  This covers the standard vendor lifecycle from invoice to payment and reporting. Use [Purchase Ledger](/bevica-select/bevica_select_training/bevica_select_training_-_purchase_ledger.md) and confirm capability with [Outcomes - Purchase Ledger](/bevica-select/bevica-select-outcomes/bevica_select_training_outcomes_-_purchase_ledger.md).
* **Where do I learn bank accounts, transfers, and bank reconciliations?**\
  Use this when you’re setting up banks, reconciling, or troubleshooting unmatched lines. Use [Cash Management](/bevica-select/bevica_select_training/bevica_select_training_-_cash_management.md) and check yourself against [Outcomes - Cash Management](/bevica-select/bevica-select-outcomes/bevica_select_training_outcomes_-_cash_management.md).
* **Where do I learn periods, year end, budgets, and reporting?**\
  This is where close and reporting routines live, plus the concepts behind them. Use [General Ledger Part 2](/bevica-select/bevica_select_training/bevica_select_training_-_general_ledger_part_2.md) and validate with [Outcomes - General Ledger Part 2](/bevica-select/bevica-select-outcomes/bevica_select_training_outcomes_-_general_ledger_part_2.md).

### Operations (inventory, purchasing, sales, returns)

* **Where do I learn items, locations, and inventory adjustments?**\
  Start here if you’re unsure how stock is structured, moved, or adjusted in the system. Use [Inventory](/bevica-select/bevica_select_training/inventory.md) and validate with [Outcomes - Inventory](/bevica-select/bevica-select-outcomes/bevica_select_training_outcomes_-_inventory.md).
* **How do I raise, receive, and invoice a purchase order in Bevica?**\
  This is the end-to-end purchasing workflow, including key Bevica specifics and common gotchas. Use [Purchase Order Processing](/bevica-select/bevica_select_training/purchase-order-processing.md) and validate with [Outcomes - Purchase Order Processing](/bevica-select/bevica-select-outcomes/bevica_select_training_outcomes_-_purchase_order_processing.md).

* **Where’s the “big picture” flow for purchase order processing?**\
  Use this when you need the lifecycle and handoffs at a glance, without the detail. See [Simplified Purchase Order process diagram](/documentation/guides/purchasing/simplified_purchase_order_process_diagram.md).
* **Where’s the “big picture” flow for sales order processing?**\
  Use this when you need a quick reminder of the document flow and what gets posted when. See [Simplified Sales Order process diagram](/documentation/guides/sales/simplified_sales_order_process_diagram.md).

### Data migration and administration

* **What’s the starting point for configuration and data migration?**\
  Use the worksheet to understand what needs configuring and who owns each decision. Then use the templates guide to understand what data to load and how to structure it: [Configuration Worksheet](/bevica-select/bevica_select_training/bevica_select_-_excel_template_data_migration.md#configuration-worksheet) and [Excel Template Data Migration](/bevica-select/bevica_select_training/bevica_select_-_excel_template_data_migration.md#excel-template-data-migration).
* **Where do I learn user setup, permissions, and environment basics?**\
  This is the admin playbook for access, setup, and core configuration areas. Use [Administration](/bevica-select/bevica_select_training/bevica_select_training_-_administration.md).

### Still stuck?

* **I’m stuck on navigation, filtering, or “Tell me”. What’s the fastest help?**\
  This is the quickest route to “how do I find/do the thing” in the UI, including shortcuts and Excel-related tips. Use [FAQ - User Interface](/bevica-select/faqs/faq-user-interface.md).
* **I’m not sure which module covers my problem. Where do I look first?**\

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://kb.bevica.com/bevica-select/faqs/faq-training-questions.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
