Correct dimensions on posted G/L entries

Fix dimension values on posted general ledger entries (G/L only).

Sometimes a journal posts with the wrong dimension. You can correct dimensions on G/L entries without reposting.

Before you start

Dimension corrections only update G/L Entries.

They do not update customer, vendor, item, or bank ledger entries.

Correct the dimension

1. Search for G/L Entries.
2. Filter to the entries you need to change.

   • Use Document No. and Posting Date filters.
3. Select the relevant entries.
4. Select Correct Dimensions.
5. Choose the dimension(s) and corrected value(s).
6. Run the correction.

If the issue is in a subledger entry, you may need to reverse and repost.

Use Reverse general ledger entries.
