Outcomes - Return Orders & Transfer Orders

Checklist to validate return orders and transfer orders in Bevica Select. Post documents and verify inventory quantities, costs, and audit trail.

Use this checklist after the Return Orders & Transfer Orders training.

It helps you prove you can correct stock movements safely without breaking audit trail.

Before you start

You need:

Recommended:

  • Work through this with a finance user.

  • Capture evidence (posted return documents, ILE/VEs, and the G/L impact).

Completion criteria (what “done” looks like)

You’re done when:

  • You can reverse stock postings via return orders.

  • You can handle unit-of-measure edge cases (partial case returns).

  • You can handle duty status correctly (where applicable).

  • You can move stock between locations using transfer orders.

Sales return orders

Reverse posted sales shipments/invoices safely

Do

  1. Create and post a sales return order using Get Posted Document Lines to Reverse.

  2. Post a return using a return reason code set to Automatic Negative Adjustment.

  3. Process both duty free and duty paid returns (if applicable).

    • The return must match the duty status of the original order.

  4. Return using a different unit of measure (for example, single bottle).

  5. Post returns:

    • without additional charges

    • with additional charges (if used)

Check

  • You can review:

    • Posted Sales Return Receipt

    • Posted Sales Credit Memo

  • You can explain what posted to:

    • Customer Ledger Entries

    • Item Ledger Entries and Value Entries

    • G/L Entries

    • VAT Entries

Purchase return orders

Reverse posted purchase receipts/invoices safely

Do

  1. Create and post a purchase return order using Get Posted Document Lines to Reverse.

  2. Post a return using a return reason code.

  3. Process both duty free and duty paid returns (if applicable).

    • The return must match the duty status of the original order.

  4. Return using a different unit of measure (for example, single bottle).

  5. Post returns:

    • without additional charges

    • with additional charges (if used)

Check

  • You can review:

    • Posted Purchase Return Shipment

    • Posted Purchase Credit Memo

  • You can explain what posted to:

    • Vendor Ledger Entries

    • Item Ledger Entries and Value Entries

    • G/L Entries

    • VAT Entries (if used)

Transfer orders

Move stock between locations (and duty status where allowed)

Do

  1. Create and post a transfer order within the same duty status.

  2. Create and post a transfer order across duty status (if applicable).

  3. Post a transfer order with additional charges (if used).

  4. Transfer a specific piece of stock using a manual reservation.

Check

  • You can trace the posting impact using Find Entries from:

    • Posted Transfer Shipment

    • Posted Transfer Receipt
